The Reds shot quickly out the blocks
And on the clock – just five
Minutes had passed before Cary
Scored with a silky drive!
It wasn’t very long before
He added number two,
A classy through ball by Ben Boyce
Made Wisbech’s defence stew!
And then after a skilful run
With extra tricky feet,
He left defenders on their rumps –
His hat trick was complete!
St Mary pulled a scrappy goal
From close range shortly back,
But super passing and movement
Kept up the Reds’ attack.
A Crosby corner wasn’t cleared
And Jarvis blasted home,
Before Kerry developed, too
The goalscoring syndrome!
Right on half time he popped one in
A cracking forty-five,
And straight after the restart their
Goal hunger stayed alive.
Kerry soon made it number six
Of this season – his third,
And that was all the scoring done –
The rest had been deferred!
The woodwork rattled several times
With other chances: missed,
But on the Shannocks marched again
Their passion shall persist!
Next up it’s down to Suffolk for
A match at Victory Road,
And let’s hope Leiston shall see a
Net busting overload!
