In South Norfolk: Dissappointment
Took hold on Saturday,
The Reds battled and got stuck in
But fortune went astray.
The Tangerines were first to net,
A tame strike trickled in;
Straight after though, short passing, neat
Tossed their lead in the bin!
A lovely finish from Abbott
Put Shezza back on track,
But as we looked like scoring more
In defence we would crack.
The hosts broke through and skied a shot
When Coxy’s tackle: late,
Resulted in a penalty
Causing teeth sets to grate!
Fuller’s strike sneaked home and as
The drizzle flow rained on
After the break the clock ticked fast
And all hope soon had gone.
It was great to see, off the bench
Eadie take to the pitch,
Before, a soft goal, once again
Ensured a point we’d ditch.
A brawl erupted at the death
And Davies was shown red,
The referee was very weak
And must have bumped his head!
Next week: Bring on the Wanderers
From Ipswich up they’ll come,
And all this Dissarray shall fade,
We’ll cheer and not look glum…
